[Video] Horrific Accident Caught On Camera Triggers Debate Between Bikers And Motorists

We always think that we can react fast enough when we see oncoming vehicles but this video shows how accidents really happen, and very nearly cause lives to be lost.

One moment, motorists are driving down a stretch of road at a regular pace then suddenly a motorcycle is thrown into the middle of the road.

In the video which was shared to a road safety Facebook page, everything happens in a split second.

The first biker is sent flying into the path of oncoming cars after colliding with another vehicle further ahead and landed right smack in the path of another motorcyclist on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) which connects Tuas to Changi Airport in Singapore.

In the recorded footage, the force of the first impact practically sends the first motorcyclist propelling across two lanes of the highway and into an oncoming motorbike who runs over him and is knocked off his own bike in the process.

According to the update posted on Road.sg Facebook, one biker is in intensive care with a broken pelvic bone while there is no update on the other motorcyclist.

Viewers who saw the horrifying crash soon weighed in with their own views about who was at fault.

Some motorists took to lecturing motorcyclists for recklessly weaving between cars and lanes which is popularly referred to as 'lane-splitting' while others urged for all parties to be considerate and careful on the roads.
